That's a nice picture and nicely processed Russ.
I like that even though it's foggy the runner is quite clearly defined and I like the framing and general mood the picture gives.

Thank you. The runner ran by me, and I just stepped out, composed, framed up the image to my liking, and tripped the shutter. I cannot take any credit for the post processing. I did very little to it. Being somewhat new to digital photography (45 years of burning film), my post processing knowledge and skills are rudimentary at best. :-(
On the processing, I thought you'd done a B&W conversion. Is this a colour shot that due to the conditions lacks colour or did you select a mono mode on the camera?
It was a color shot, that I converted to B/W. But I did very little as far as B/W tones, etc. I just made minor tweaks in Lightroom in order to duplicate the light and conditions that existed there when I snapped it.
I guess so. I am envious of those that make beautiful B/W conversions. Is it a steep learning curve? The attached snap was shot on B/W film.
