Having just got my Olympus 60mm F2.8 macro lens from this forum I've been watching YouTube videos on how best to use it.

Just need a decent diffuser for the flash and I think I've got all the kit.

Just practice needed now.

Taken with Olympus EM1 MK2 & afore mentioned 60mm macro lens.

Godox TT685 flash with Flashbender 2 held in left hand, camera in right.

Manual, 1/200th sec F11, flash on 1/16th power.

CC welcomed as it's my first real try at this sort of macro photography.

They're sharp enough Terry - a good diffuser is essential though as you have noted already as there's a lot of glare and harsh light.

Personally I would stop down a bit for more depth of field (others will disagree!) - at least to f16 - you'll lose a little bit of sharpness due to diffraction but for me it's worth it to get more in focus. :)

Thanks Mike,

Using Olympus I already have more depth of field than crop or full frame users.

I'll do some tests on static subjects stopped down more to see if I still obtain sharp images.

A cheap diffuser from Amazon arrived today so I've now got to work out how to attach it to the flashgun (as I use OCF).
Think clothes pegs will come in handy here :)

Thanks for your suggestion.

Terry.
