Geckos

I've had my DSLR for a couple of weeks now and I must admit I'm struggling to get the hang of the manual settings and the terminology. But I suppose these things come with practice...lol. I had a play around with the macro lens earlier with a couple of members of my other hobby.

Leopard Gecko

Crested (or Eyelash) gecko - asleep (They don't have eyelids so when they are sleeping they sink their eye into socket and fold the eye crests down).

Waking up

Bright eyed....

Cannon 450D and Tamron 90mm.

Some cracking images there but i think you could do with a bit more DOF try using a smaller aperture (bigger f number) try between f11 / f16 for starters.

Waking up pic is smashing. Loved geckos since I shared a bedroom with some as a 19yo student in W Africa . (Disclaimer: no deviance implied!).
