Getting closer to the wasps...

I took an environmental photo first of a couple of wasps on an a fallen apple, then once I was happy that they were happy, I went in closer.

When they are feasting, 99 times in a 100 they ignore everything else - even people...

Wasps are predators and will definitely attack and kill ants for food. They start on fruit as live victims become more scarce.

Like bees, it's not that often in truth that folk do get stung, but of course it does happen, generally as a defence mechanism.
