Gigapixel, upgrade difference?

I must be dumb, but I don't understand what they say.

With Gigapixel "Renewal", we get upgrades and we don't pay anything now, but we pay $ 54 on 22 January 2025? What happens after that date? Is it a perpetual licence or a one-year thing?

With "1 year upgrade licence", we don't get auto-upgrades, but we do get (manual?) upgrades until 22 January 2026? It's a one-year licence, isn't it? What happens after that date?

A translation of their lingo in everyday language would be much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!

Your current upgrade license is good until Jan 2025; whichever renewal route you choose will occur and be billed then. It is then good for another year, unless you choose the auto option, in which case you will be billed annually.

When your upgrade license expires you will still own the software (perpetual license); you just won't get any maintenance/updates.
