Golden-ringed Dragonfly

Well spotted John :)

Nice find m8.

Paul.

Thanks,Paul I don't know how long it had been out of its exuvia. It was on the end post of the veranda/decking of the cabin we were staying .I've checked and it can take one hour to three hours.

Wow that's impressive.

It impressed me,too,Keith....:)

Well spotted John :)

Cheers, Chris.. It can't have been out for long as I would be out onto the veranda/balcony quite often to look at the wildfowl and swan family.

I've looked at the exif data and I took it at 1224. The yellow caught my eye.

Nice find, TFS :)

Thanks, Gav. Bit of a highlight of the holiday, really. Not what I expected to see.

Fantastic and what a pleasure very Lucky

Thanks,Kevin. It's only the second time I've seen this happen. The previous occasion was a Four Spotted Chaser DF (someone on here told me what it was) and it was out of the exuvia ,still attached and on the underside of the wooden patio table.

That's something I've never seen. Well spotted, taken and processed John :D

A very special event to witness! Great photo of this stage.

Oh wow well spotted amazing to see

Thanks Pete. The yellow caught my eye. I'd been out on the decking earlier and the exuvia shell was probably there and I only noticed after the dragonfly emerged.
