I'm guessing something you Ordered? It's a pleasing image with the dribble of foam running down to the marshmallow, well lit and I like the crop, I'm in two minds as to whether it needs a bit of anti clockwise straightening

Yes, whilst sat on the pier at Southwold! Definitely needed warming up. The straightening was also a thought of mine after I posted. Also, would have liked the cream to have been sharper at the edges... will have to have a play around.
 
Nice depth of field Hattie, the background is real nice, as is the lovely looing hot chocolate, my only wish was for a wider crop too its a tad tight, but hey, new camera, new challenge and first image, so for me a cracking start :)

Hello and welcome to the 52 nutters corner, good luck with your 52 challenge I wish you the very best of luck for the rest of your challenge. That image looked very yummy, could do with a little bit of a rotation to straighten it but it's a good start to your challenge.
 
I find it very rewarding working with edible props ..... and this one would be especially so. Excellent use of DoF, colour is great and as for the composition .... Cor !!!

The shot works for me, I quite like the tight crop (in fact I think there is an alternative shot with an even tighter crop in there.
Well executed and bang on theme.

In fact, I hope you don't mind, but I did a little edit to show what I mean about the crop.

As already mentioned, just a little straighten and its spot on.
 
Great DoF, good light and edible props, what more could one ask for? The wider or tighter crop has already been mentioned...
