Here are some pics i got at the Hampton Court 'A Country Affair' event which had art's and crafts stalls and demonstrations as well as some interesting displays such as Falconry, 'The Axemen' tree cutters as well as many others. Was a great day and i would certainly recommend people go next year.

Your comments as always are greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

sadly i missed the focus on this so its not sharp but included anyway

For reasons you mentioned the last could have been a brilliant shot, its still good though, excellent on the pose.
You really got the focus spot on that 2nd from last shot though - absolutely pin sharp on the eye, think the DoF may have been a little too shallow though as I think its blurring slightly around the beak.

2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th and 10th would win it for me would be my favourites with the axe shots coming close :)

Thanks for sharing (y)

I really like the B&W axe shot. I don't know I just really feel I could tell a story from that shot. I also like #2.

Beautifull.
Looks like a Goshawk

Thanks for your kind comments, i think if i was to take similar pics again i would use the Aperture priority and increase the DOF.

Looks like a Goshawk

Pretty well all those bird shots will stand some sharpening. ;)

Thanks guys. Thought i would try something different with the axes and it seems to have worked well.

@CT I had sharpened already but didn't push it that far, it has definitely come out a lot better! What settings did you use? Many Thanks.

edit:: just had a resharpen of a couple of them and they pop that bit more, thanks CT!
