Help me find this photographer!!

The other day i saw a news article about a fantastic photographer but i don't remember the name of her.
However she often took strange photos with her and her husband i think she was doing that for around 7 years and it showed her life with him. I remember one photograph with him on a table and her with a plate on him or something. It was really strange but I wanna see more of her work but I can't remember her name! Please help!

weird- I don't like to see the "wired shutter remote" in most of the images- just plain rookie mistake to me

It's like posing someone in front of a roll of backgroubnd paper and showing the background behind the paper. Also common in art photography. :thinking:

I may just have a go at this style of photography ,

Remove my pants and stick some ( Valuble ) toilet roll between my butt cheeks and MOON

should get removed very quickly :D

I've seen this work before, printed and hung at an exhibition. I thought it was really good then and I still do.

I'm glad you found it thanks to Ed and hope you enjoy looking at it and aspiring to it and don't let some of the comments put you off. We should all be as brave to try new things like this and put it out into the world. To be able to make a body of cohesive work over a decade is a great thing and I wish I had the drive and ambition and vision to do it.
 
Agree with Gareth. I also think it's quite brave to put that sort of stuff out there. Everyone sees the world differently. Everyone has a unique perspective. I enjoy seeing that - especially when it's as different as this.

Lensculture is a great site.

(Edit to add I also discovered what men's nipples were for! Every day is a schoolday!)
 
I like her stuff, its experimental and isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I found it inspiring.
 
I have looked at these pictures once and will not be looking a second time !
 
Not really my cup of tea but each to their own...

Apart from the unusual subject matter, what are people's opinions of them from a technical perspective? I may be wrong but the lighting ect seems fairly mundane to me and the pictures look like snapshots taken with camera in P....it's almost as if the subject matter is more important than the technical qualities of the image itself ????

Definitely unusual, but I really rather liked a couple of em,particularly the third one with the magnifying glass.
 
It’s not my cup of tea but photography covers a wide range. I do find the wire of the remote the most annoying aspect of the photos. I have to say, it does make a change from the normal landscapes, portraits, cars etc. Whilst those photos are nice ithey can get boring.

Maybe the fact the boyfriend has the remote and therefore takes the pictures is meant to signify something?

To be honest, I'm reminded of this from 1969 (you have to watch it all to see the [NSFW] photographs on the album cover - I do miss good music LP sleeve art/photos)...

If you're into psycho-analytical stuff then have fun with interpreting the imagery. And while you're doing that, I'll just put the LP on my record player and enjoy listening to the music, as the record revolves again and again.
 
Nah. You want art? This is art. The technical ability is superb. There's a very long shutter speed involved, yet amazingly, and no doubt intentionally, a lot of noise has still been introduced to the final result. :exit:

 
She needs one of those nice white jackets which tie at the back...
 
@Mr Badger Thanks for posting the Juicy Lucy link - I haven't heard that version for 48 years, since it being a single in the jukebox on the Canberra! Best version of the song.
