I purchased a new/old stock Paterson orbital. tank to enable me to process 8x10 film.
I have only used one in the past for developing colour prints (RA4) whereby the little plastic tubs supplied with it hold enough chemistry for use as a one shot process.

Can anyone tell me how much chemistry the tank needs to develop 1 sheet of 8x10 slide film (E6 six bath) per solution?

My Stearman tank uses 300ml to 500ml on a chemical exhaustion basis but this seems rather a lot given the volume of the tank.

I recently purchased the same product. I have processed four sheets of 4x5 (black and white) with 250ml of chemistry, without any problems. I believe that a single sheet of 8x10 would not need any more.

It may be possible to use a smaller volume but I didn’t want to take the chance.

I used continual agitation, with times reduced by 15%, to reduce any risk of uneven development.

I purchased some self adhesive plastic domes to place on the base of the processor, to ensure that the film did not stick to the base. Some users scratch the base to achieve the same result

I ensured that the film had the emulsion side facing up.

Thank you.
That's what I wanted to hear.
