Hi

Sorry, I know the Tampon 17-50 is a APC lens, but:

1. would it still work on the D750
2. and will it give me a wider angle of view compared to the Nikon 24-70 on the same body.

The actual lens is Tamron SP AF 17-50 f2.8 XR which the non built in motor version of the lens.

Thank you

Sorry should have searched, found the info.

It will work but focal length will be 25-75 so no good.

Thank you

The Tamron 10-24 APC works on full frame from 15mm.

You can set the D750 to take a full frame or 1.2X image on a DX lens and crop it down on your computer. In that case it'll probably be about the same, maybe a bit more as the circle of stuff projected onto the sensor is a bit bigger than DX. The corners might be rubbish. This is the version of the 17-50 lens with the built in motor on a D750 set at 1.2X (which might be similar). DX is 1.5X so I guess you could get about 23mm equivalent field of view from it.

You'll get a much better picture of a proper FX lens though. Even a not very good 18-35 AF-D would probably be better.

Thank you all for the replies and the suggestions, am looking for a lens that I can use on both the D750 and z6ii but had something to shoot at the weekend and wanted to see if the tamron lens would do the trick hence the question.
