please excuse a bit of a silly thread, im no proffesional, but just need some advice!

I have a sony hc-46 digital camcorder and want to do some filiming indoors.
Light is a problem, I want to get consistant light, no shadows etc, so i thought Id just place a couple of desktop lamps behind me, which definately helps!... but the lights a bit 'yellow'..

how could I get a whiter light? is there any special bulbs that i can use? what sort of lights do i need?

BTW, im obviously looking for a cheap, non-proffesional solution... nothing too expensive.. just want to get light thats a bit less yellow!

hope that makes sense

This is another WB question. The colour temp of the light isn't that important, what is is how you're recording it and what options you have

I don't have a digi-cam - so - if you can alter it's WB try that first, if not, yes you can buy 'white' bulbs and/or put blue filters over the lights to correct it to white

Try changing the camera withe balance to Tungsten - then the camera WB will match the light source and white will appear white again!
