Anyone here using Mac? If so, just wanted to check if anyone has updated to High Sierra without any problems? Quite often when you see an operating system up grade, there are a lot of complaints about bugs and glitches, but just trying to get a feel for if this is the exception or whether problems are widespread. Thanks, Peter.

Oldish Mac mini (2012), Apple Thunderbolt Display, no problems.

No problems for me on either MacBook Pro 13" from around 2011; MacBook Pro 15" Retina from 2013 or iMac from 2012...

Imac and Macbook pro here too, no problems as yet, not suggesting there will necessarily be problems, lol. We do seem to be getting more and more updates these days,it's one of the reasons
I left windows based machines many years ago, perhaps we're just catching up ;););)

iMac and MacBook Air, no issues (y)

Mid 2015 MacBook pro Retina, no problems whatsoever.

Late 2015 27" Imac retina.

Screwed up Adobe updater, stops my Mac waking up without spurious errors reported as Program not waking properly. I just turned it off and alls been okay since. Did a web search and it's not too uncommon.

Everything is fine except screenshots and export/saving files takes an age (up to 20 seconds). It would appear that I'm not the only one experiencing this but no one has yet found a solution or know exactly why. Some suggested it is to do with Google Drive (which I don't have) or iCloud, or the new format Apple is now using is the OS. It is not a biggy but an annoyance nonetheless and because of this, I've not updated my MacBook...

Has any of you experienced this? I'm using a 5K iMac with i7, SSD and ample of rams.

That is one of the things that I had heard. Slowing down lightroom is a deal-breaker as I use it a lot. Not sure whether these issue are linked to the particular machine/hardware and the software already installed. Obviously this is going to be different for each one.

Only the actual writing of exported file/s though, Peter. The performance of Lightroom itself is not effected. Just thought I'd make that clear.

Upgrade was a bit painful (for a l-o-n-g time it looked like I had bricked the iMac...) but now it's on it's OK. Second monitor keeps turning itself off but that's nothing really new. Apple don't seem to like you plugging things in.

I also updated to High Sierra 3 weeks after release - no problems.

2017 MBP. Safari crashes became more frequent. Once a day the system froze completely for a few seconds. Older version of Photoshop (CS4) rendered useless.

As a result I wiped the MBP and went all the way back to El Capitan where no such problems seem to exist. My MBP is now faster and happier than it was with either Sierra or High Sierra.

Upgraded the 2015 MBP and no noticeable issues, apart from having to re-authorise some of my virtual instruments. Can't comment on LR as I'm using Capture One and Affinity on this machine but will be upgrading the Mac Mini very shortly once I bang an SSD in there.
As per usual I waited for a few maintenance releases for the OS before upgrading.

Funny you should say that. It's now informing me that I have 15 days left of my Nik collection demo but when pressing the 'Buy' button I get a 404 page.
