Wild Hoopoe

Another image from my visit to Hungary about three weeks ago. We saw a few Hoopoes and they were pretty active so were able to get a few flight shots.

They're here,mainly in the south and south west as they overshoot Europe on migration from Africa but I've never seen one.

I have a wooden hoopoe on my garden fence, which my father-in-law made. Never seen a real one! Great looking bird, and that's a cracking shot
