HOW CAN I CONVERT AVCHD CAMERA VIDEOS TO MP4

Hi there
I've just discovered that all my safari videos were recorded as AVCHD, rather than MP4.
Can anybody advise how I can convert the videos on my SD card to MP4 format.

HandBrake is good for macOS definitely. In case of batch conversion the Freemake Video Converter is good also. but I use it with Windows. I didn't check if it's available for converting videos on macOS.

DaVinci Resolve have a free version of their extremely popular video editing software. I know I can export based on what i want, not what the input file is. Give that a try and can be used to edit the video also, such as stitching files together, adding in images, changing audio, adding sound, and so on.

If you're on a Mac you can convert them with QuickTime which is already installed, or iMovie which is a free download.
