How to identify STM version of a Canon lens

I'm looking at buying a couple of STM version of Canon EF-S lenses but googling around, it doesn't seem like they state STM on the barrel?
From what I can gather, neither of the 18-55 IS mk1 (I owned mk1 years ago) or mk2 state which revision they are on the barrel and these along with the STM all look physically the same.
I just want to make sure the lenses adverstised on a ebay are what they state they are.
 
Its always written on the face of the lens.

Thanks for that, there aren't any photos of the front of the lens on the ones I am watching.
