Very nice set of candid street style captures Lee, liking all of these very much.

Love the phone booth:)

I like these, and I'm sure the Queen would too!

My mother did actually meet her, many years ago in South Africa. Mother was a patron of a charity and was invited to a garden 'do'. I doubt if they exchanged more than a few words but it meant a lot to her.

That's excellent Martyn, what a lovely thing to happen. Your mother must have been thrilled to meet her. :)

Thanks Lee. My mother was born in 1921, in Durban, and had a great affection for the Royal Family - like many of her generation - and it meant a great deal to her. She despaired of my republicanism though!

Mother had a photograph which, if I remember correctly, showed the Queen and a couple of guests including herself. It wasn't posed, probably just one of lots of photographs taken by an official photographer that day, and I vaguely remember her saying that no posed shots with the Queen were permitted. I'm not sure what happened to it after my mother died, but it's possible that my daughter has it. I'll ask her.
