Apologies for the poor shot. It was taken through double-glazing as an awkward angle. When I opened the window to get closer it flew off. An important fact is that, when it's flying, there's a big red patch visible, presumably the hind wings? It seems to like comfrey as that's where we see them. My wife would very much like to know what it is as she likes them.
