Just an unqualified thought?

It makes me think of an aspect ratio setting being displayed in the screen.

I had a quick look in the downloaded manual and it does talk of different (selectable?) aspect ratios when using Live View.

PS using my Olympus/OM cameras that are natively 4:3 ratio I set it to 3:2 ratio and see such thin lines in the viewfinder & screen but as I shoot raw I get the whole 4:3 sensor image. However, if I was shooting jpeg I would only get the cropped 3:2 image file.
NB I do the above for compositional and print reasons.

I'm with @Box Brownie, looks like a 16:9 frame marker. Might be worth loading the manual up as a PDF and using search terms related aspect ratio to see if it sits in the text around any setting you might have accidentally nudged.

Its a crop marker.

You've set the camera to take a photo with a different aspect ratio to the stanard 3:2. The marker is showing the area that will be included in the photo.

If you are shooting jpg then the areas outside of the frame will be discarded. If you are shooting raw they will be retained but most raw processors will recognise the marker and display the cropped image to you but you have the ability to change or remove the crop.

You'll find the setting in the menu.
