Hi all,

So I posted my efforts from my first macro outing in some considerable time last weekend - and I knew I needed to sort a diffuser of some kind. I actually made a pringles tube diffuser for my flash a couple of years ago and thankfully I had shoved it in a bag in a cupboard (this is where my hoarding / messy nature is helpful!) at the time and managed to dig it out this morning. It was a bit squashed... but I reckon it definitely helped. C&C always welcome... I had to abandon my outing when about 30 people with nets rocked up to complete a bee survey but I will be back out again when I get the chance.

Thanks for looking :)

Looking good that diffuser.

Nice set Fi (y) That certainly seems help too :)

Thanks all - appreciate you taking the time to comment :)

Lovely shots and smooth image processing. I'm curious to see your Pringle Tube adaptation, works well.

I don't have it to hand right now but it is essentially a pringles tube cut out to fit over my speedlight. It then has a paper bowl on the end with diffusing type material over the top (I've used that soft packing wrap stuff). Wrapped some black tape around the body of it. It looks a lot like the picture in this link but imagine you've sat on it and dropped it on the floor a lot...
