I've never attempted to photograph snowflakes before, so I'm quite happy with this for a first attempt. I just placed a red tea-towel on the garden wall and then photographed any likely looking culprits. Most of the flakes were clumped together, rather than seperate, and this was the best I got before coming back in from the cold (and because the wind kept bowing the teatowel everywhere). Significant croppage took place. .
