Critique required Kell's 2023 TP52 - WEEK 52. Shots(s) of the year.

Nice set. Lovely contrast with the blue on your chosen shot, but I like the bike shot too

Yep - good choice!

I agree with the choice. Really like the different and multiple arrows.

Looks like the little arrow on the road has graffiti on it ? and someone has written oxo on the road ?

I can only assume that the smaller arrow was the guide for whoever was doing the ‘proper’ one. Just to make sure they point it in the right direction.

The OXO may (or may not) be the symbol to put a bike icon there. I.e. I can imagine that it’s easier to put that there than attempt to draw a cyclist on a bike freehand.

Autumn: A lovely set. I think I prefer the first of the leaf shots with the play of light and shadow. Lovely.
Arrows: Pedestrians - must be a sign set up by the current government

Week 49 - Wet + (As near as TECH I could get)

Originally saw this shot because of the sun coming through the mist, but then spotted the opportunity to get a reflected version as the ground was very WET.

This was as wide angle as I could get at the 35mm equivalent of 24mm.

(Hopefully Santa Claus is bringing me a 12-24 mm lens for Christmas).

That's a cracking shot.... lovely light, great compostion, pov etc etc. Ticks all the boxes.
Sincerely hope Santa comes through

Lovely wet photo, I like the colours and the composition.

Week 50 OLD

Couple in a similar vein.

St George's United Reformed Church, Morpeth. Built 1858, making it quite OLD.

Not entirely sharp as it was (obviously) dark and taken without a tripod on a 1" sensor camera.

Christ the Servant King, Cressex

Quite liked the ultra modern church with a 2,000 year OLD symbol. Used the fence to balance my phone as it was too dark to do handheld.

And then a random one, went into what used to be a pub and is now a restaurant, but pleased to see they kept the OLD way of hanging the glasses as it's not that common anymore.

Nice window shot :)

Lots of places round here still hang glasses like that. Maybe it's just the sort of place I frequent :)

Well thought through and well executed. The gin looks rather nice too.

Great colour, creates a very warm image. Hope the gin is just as good!

Very nice colours, what have you got in the background for lighting/bokeh?
TIA

Not tried it yet. But fingers crossed.

It was a Christmas Star decoration.

The whole thing was shot on the floor.

Week 52 - Shot of the year.

Been a bit quiet in terms of getting stuff I was uber happy with.

But these four sprung to mind. What's interesting for me is that they were all taken with cameras which are not my 'main' camera. Three with the Sony RX10 M$ and one with the Canon G5 X.

However, that's more a product of the fact I bought the Sony precisely for going on holidays where it excels. And the little Canon was taken on a boys weekend climbing Ben Nevis, so I was never going to lug the big one up there.

Our cat. Taken not long after I got the Sony and was messing around with it.

This is probably more impressive in my own head as I know it was taken from the 9th floor.

Just loved this - and It got a lot of comments so...

But my fave is from the trip to Ben Nevis. Bored my mate asking to stop all the time to try and get a good vantage point, but couldn't. Almost didn't want to ask him to stop again, but he did and I'm pleased.

Ahhhh the old Corpach boat wreck. I could spend all day there - and almost did!

Lovely shot Kell :)
