Fen Bog NR in N. Yorkshire (near the Fylingdales early warning station) is a prime site for Large Heath, as well as Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary. A couple of hours of evening sunshine after a cool, windy day meant both species were keen to bask, and allow a close approach (normally Large Heath are especially flighty), and I came back with some pleasing shots:
