Lovely composition and more attractive when seen perched with open wings like this. I like the way you have captured the feeling of hanging delicately in space.
Large Red Damselflies are usually the first species to emerge in the UK's flight season.
This "damsel in distress" is a male - As the 'anal appendages' (yes that is the correct term!) confirm.
