Hi all,

Long time since I have been on here what with a break in photography but I have been inspired to get going again.

We are considering a holiday in Wales this year during the summer and I was considering as part of that to go that valley place where you can photograph RAF jets doing their thing in through the valley. I think they call it the Mach Loop…?

I currently only have a D7000 with a Tamron 17-50 so thinking that I may need something a little longer and more versatile.

I’m looking for advice on what would suit this please as this would be something new for me.

Thank you all in advance,
Simon

Something like this might be useful…

I’ve only been to the loop a couple of times and walked up the hillside at Cad West. Decent spot and quite popular.

Got to see a Fat Albert last time I was there…

If your budget allows for it, maybe a 70-200 2.8? I bought one last year and I'm very pleased with it so far.
