Loch Achtriochtan ,Glencoe

The weather has changed and i managed to get up to my favourite loch , Loch Achtriochtan,for some reflection photographs.

I photographed this from about the same place a few years ago in late November when it was early dusk and bitterly cold. The loch had a coating of ice and a first fall of snow on top. With no noise anywhere or wind to disturb the setting. It was breath taking.

Lovely images Allen, the colours look so natural and the reflected shoreline in the second is mesmerising and certainly holds my attention.

I'm heading to Lochaber tomorrow for a few days and was hoping the worst of the midges was past.

That's why I'm going! Never any guarantees, though, but fingers crossed it's decent until the weekend at last.
