Anyone else see the F1 images in the Mail today?
One panning image from Abu Dhabi of Hamilton with 600mm was 1/15th sec at f/22... Even with a monopod that's impressive, to me at least
Fair bet that is Darren Heath. Those sort of shutter speeds are fairly common place with him.
1/15th pans are achievable (although I've never tried it on anything longer than 400mm) but they are pure dumb luck and time. It is just a case of finding the time to stand there trying to nail a 1/15 pan and hoping while you do it that nothing else happens - because you won't catch it.
Dunganick was right, they were all Darren Heath. To be honest I don't think they chose a very good set to show. But I could happily spend hours on his website. Some absolutely stunning shots on there.

He takes some absolutely amazing photographs and I hope to follow in his footsteps one day! He's a lovely guy to talk to too! Had many of helpful hints and tips off him
