Some random bugs seen today. All taken using Canon 100mm Macro, Canon EP25 Ext Tube and Ringflash. Manual Mode, 1/200th, f11, iso200 with ringflash at -2/3rds EV.

Two flies - I don't think this is an amorous clinch - I think the one on top is sucking the insides out of the other....

Thanks Graham, no me neither - I'm assuming that's what's happening in that shot. I've seen shield bugs doing something similar to other bugs though.

Thanks Alf, one of the things I like about macro work is you never know what you might see next. I almost walked past without giving much thought but something didn't seem right, it wasn't until I got home and viewed on a big screen that I saw what I'd captured....
