After Xmas with an intention tof getting back into photography, I bought myself an ASUS ProArt PA278QV monitor in the sale, which has in built calibration, but felt it was probably best to buy a dedicated calibration device for colour accuracy.
I opted for the Calibrite Display Pro HL as it was reasonably priced, it wasn’t the most basic model, and I figured most do the same job.
However, while waiting for it to arrive I started doing a bit more research and I’m struggling to find any reviews that aren’t paid promotion, and there is some criticism around its HDR capability.
In all honesty, I just want to take still photos, editing lightroom or or photoshop and send the occasional image to print, so hdr isn’t something I’m overly bothered about.
Does anyone have any real world experience of this device? Should I be returning it unopened and opting for something different? Any advice appreciated!
