Monte Carlo Rally

I had planned to go and still trying to get some work but if theirs no money for me to go out then not worth it.

It'll be a fantastic event - over 250 requests for entries as it's the centenary. I'd concentrate on capturing the atmosphere of the event if I get the chance.

I'm fully intending to go but finding it a bit difficult to get comprehensive information on the event. The website is quite useful but some of it is pretty direly translated and there doesn't seem to be any other information anywhere else as to particular vantage points or even simple (very silly and rather embarrasing) questions like do we need tickets or is it a just turn up and stand along the edge of the road affair.

I'm intending to go as a spectator and have no intentions of selling any photos I take it's only for the event itself and obviously would love to get some great photos too.

Just hoping someone on here was going or had been before that might offer some advice or point me to somewhere I could find some advice in terms of ticketing, vantage points, how to get to said vantage points etc.

some info here, stage times & if you have google earth, the stage maps are all on a download for it http://planetemarcus.free.fr/montecarloirc11.htm

I would love to go, some stunning backdrops for pic's (y)
You don't usually have to pay to access the stages, as is the case with most other rallies in europe!
Hope this helps?
