1, 3 and 5 are nice, although maybe a little to much sky (although I do realise that is what you were trying to shoot), but post porcessing of the sky is a bit over done in most of them, especially the first. 
1 and 5 have nice leading lines, leading you into the image, with 5 being especially good, with the lock and ladder in just the right place.

Oh, read the title and got all excited, I used to live in Newbury and fished the River Kennet and Avon Canal most weekends so was looking forward to seeing both, not enough of either for me I'm afraid.

too much sky for me in most of these, 5 is definately my fav the composition is much more pleasing. I think you've pushed the processing a little far though, the colours and the almost total lack of shadows are far from realistic but then that maybe how you intended them to look.
