Culex sp. The mozzie has almost certainly emerged recently from out of my small garden pond where there are hundreds more water-borne larvae.

And the next challenge is, I remember some years ago, an image here,
a mossie feeding on the tog's arm.
IIRC it was Alby, ( aj phototog or some such) but he's left and cleared his "desk"
So the image no longer exists here.
I was sorry to see him go TBH.
