My first post, outside saying hello. Macro-ish time.

My first uploaded pic here...


So, this is with my old 50D, Tamron 28-75 XR Di abcdefg etc.... Not a macro, just as close as I could get, then cropped in some.. I had set the shutter speed at 1/1600, yet the wings still blurred. (I wanted some motion, but ....)
This is more of a test, just to see if I'm uploading right, etc.

Welcome to the forum Lee. Terrific first post here. You did very well to capture that. And I really like the colours and composition too, with the bright colours framing the fly but the fly itself against a darker background, and the flower in sight to to give context.
