New to here

Hi, I'm Sam and I'm 15 and in my first year of doing photography at my school, and it's already hooked me. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about what and how to go about my photography yet so I was recommended this site by the guy in of world were I bought my new camera from. I'm most recently studying photography, but mostly macro and portraiture.

Hi Sam, welcome to Talk Photography

There's loads of good advice on this forum, and there's a section called 'Talk Basics' which you might find useful. It seems like you've already found a couple of things you like, so I would just keep practicing with your macro and portraiture work. It's great to explore different things though, I'd just have a browse on the forum in all the different sections and see what sort of thing you like and are interested in!
