Help required please.

I am wanting to have a go at motorsport photography, and have decided to visit Croft on 21st July for the Porshe Club championship. Two reasons for Croft, only 1 hour drive and an old work mate i've not seen in years is competing.

The help i require is about my equipment, 60D, 400 F5.6, 70-200 f4 plus a 1.4 convertor and monopod. Will this cope with Croft (never been), do i need to take anything wider?

any help on gear, basic set up, best areas, would be much appreciated

kind regards
Steve

There's a thread on Croft just a little bit further down the thread list page :p
Here

The equipment listed will be fine.

You'll be fine with that. For areas, the grass bank at Sunny out, the entry into the hairpin complex and the grass bank at the end of the straight/Hawthorn and chicane are all good.

Thanks Graeme, looking for a track day somewhere this week so i can pratice some panning techniques.

Might be wrong but I think there is a drift meeting at Nissan (sunderland) this weekend if thats not too far to travel

I will no doubt be there, either being a tit in orange or with the camera, give me a shout.

Your gear is fine for croft, spectator friendly. If you have a little stool thats handy to carry, take that to peek over the fence

Will give you shout definitely

This might be of interest - public passenger rides at Croft on Thursday, 10.30am-1.30pm.
