A little bit dark for my liking but appear nice and sharp. If you just had the face on the first one it might be difficult to say whether it was a rabbit or a pararie dog (or however you spell it)

I like the eye contact in the first shot but on the whole I think I prefer the second. I think the darker BG works well and the detail in his / her off side front paw is lovely - stretchy toes! The first shot just looks a bit flatter than the second.
