Panamoz and HDEW Cameras

Currently considering ordering from either Panamoz or HDEW. I see Panamoz have a good reputation generally but haven't seen so much about HDEW who are cheaper than Panamoz for what I'm looking at. Has anyone got any experience of HDEW and are they considered reputable like Panamoz or are they one to steer clear of?

Panamoz 3-year warranty (transferable) is very good.
HDEW used to stock more brands (eg Nikon) but suddenly stopped having stock, why?

HDEW are fine. Rare for them to be cheaper than Panamoz. If you email Panamoz they may be able to match the price and that way you can take advantage of their 3 year warranty.
 
No issues at all with either here. Prefer Panamoz for the warranty/repair (which I've used and it was as no hassle as it was plausible to be)

I have been buying my gear for years from HDEW they are excellent, the last camera I bought from Panamoz,R5 , went wrong after nearly 3 years they were excellent and helped me sort it and paid for the repair
Both are good companies with a good reputation, I seemed to remember that HDEW also did a 3 year warranty am sure I got an extended warranty card with my 6D 2 that I bought from them but I could be mistaken was a while ago
 
HDEW does have a limited range of stock but I've been lucky in that their main ranges are now Canon and Olympus. They seem to have a good range of Sigma lenses now. The only black mark I would put against them is that earlier this year they agreed a "special" price for me on a Olympus OM5 but after about a week during which I made arrangements to sell my EM5ii they refused to honour the price they'd offered me. Otherwise they have been great and they will supply you with a VAT receipt if you are VAT registered.

I think their standard guarantees are 3 years on bodies and 1 year on lenses.
 
I was looking at a camera and lens on both these companies' sites yesterday, and although the camera was cheaper on HDEW, the discount at Panama for having two items made the order cheaper with P than H.

If you email Panamoz, before buying and ask for their best price they have always/usually give discount plus if you feeling brave they give a further discount if you pay by BT- though up to the individual if they want to take this option, risk vs benefit.

I am pondering using a grey for a lens. How is the Panamoz packaging? I stopped using HDEW some time ago after two items came in single thickness cardboard boxes with no other padding or protection and damage to boxes. My switch to my current RF system and upgrading my Olympus body has been done with UK retailers. I may not do it and just wait... it would help to know what their packing is like. I won't be going to the camera show this year - too much expense to get there and stay overnight - so we decided to go visit my brother instead.

Recently ordered a Canon R5 from Panamoz - immediate email confirming order, tracking up and running within 24 hours, Camera with me within 4 days of placing the order.

Just one of several purchases I have used Panamoz for over the years; service has always been excellent.

The box my last purchase came in would have probably survived being run over by the delivery van. Double-walled, strong box & well packed inside with scrunched up paper.
 
I have bought two lens from Panamoz this year and both were very well packed, one arrived in 4 days and one in 6 (over a weekend).
 
Had a great experience with Panamoz recently.

Wanted to buy a new camera body and they were the cheapest of the grey market companies for it. Dropped them a message before ordering to find out if they could better the price and they gave an additional £50 discount.

There was a problem with the delivery which was nothing to do with Panamoz. FedEx ran a few days late then delivered to my next door neighbour who when asked said they hadn't received it. Eventually after mentioning police etc. the next door neighbour found the parcel and handed it over.

In between times I had emailed Panamoz asking for advice on what to do. When they replied I was able to explain that I now had the parcel and they gave me an additional £200 discount because of all the hassle with FedEx.

There is no chance a U.K company would have done that.

I bought an A9iii from them recently. About 3 days after it was reduced 70 quid on their site. I emailed to say that felt unfair as I hadn't received the lens yet and it was in transit. The difference was refunded almost immediately. I have just ordered another couple of lenses, this time I have not had anything that has said they have been posted but I ordered on Friday. Hopefully their fast service is still as good as I could do with the lenses for Friday
