Lovely shots, like the 1st 2 - when I visited it tipped down with rain and I just managed a couple of 'average' shots :(

numbers 1 and 3 looks like they are bad cut paste job, the shadows of the lighthouse don't match up, which is a shame because i like the long exposure on these

Is it not the long exposure that has caused the shadows to look like this? I really like no's 2 and 4 but would have been happy to take any of them.

its not the long exposure thats done that, the edges around the base of the lighthouse are too sharp and number 3 has a faint halo around it

Thanks for all the kind comments.

I had straightened the lighthouse on #1 & #3 due to the lens distortion but obviously not quite good enough. I appreciate the feedback though. It means I can go back to the originals or future shots and make sure they are water tight (forgive the pun) before publishing. I did struggle when I was doing them but concluded that the gap between shadow and lighthouse caused it but as it was on the originals I had left it.

No. 5 for me is the best of the bunch for me. Very nicely done. Yet another entry on my list of places to shoot

Certainly looking forward to that Peter.(y)

Cracking set by the looks of it.

Think I'll get a proper look at these when I get home from work later.

Hi Kevin, Nigel Alan & Method,

Many thanks for the kind comments. It is a great location and well worth a visit. I only lived a few miles away from here as a child and remember many family walks down to the point or to the Priory. At a very low tide I believe you can even walk right up to the lighthouse although I've never done it. One word of warning though is those nice looking rocks in the foreground can be VERY slippery.
