A friend on another none photo forum has PM'd me with the following message. I have no idea about this sort of thing, but I sure there will be an kind person on here who could help with some info.

Have you any experience/knowledge of ir/radio flash triggers for studio lights?

I have a Prolinca set that I use for family and friends protraits, and with the FM2 I connected using the pc lead. I have had to get rid of that now as my eyesight is so bad I cant focus properly, so I will be using the D70. Problem, No pc socket. I c ould get a hotshoe/pc converter of course, but one less lead is always a good thing. Laughing

Theres loads of stuff on eBay, mostly from China/Hong Kong at stupid prices, but I am a bit wary. I dont use them enough to go the Wein route,

I've got some radio triggers from Gadget Infinity from Ebay. They're the ones for firing flash guns rather than flash heads and I have had no problems with them so I don't see their flash head ones being any different. They do miss a shot occasionally but I'm not sure whether it's down the the triggers or the flash not recycling in time. For £15 I'm not going to complain. I would advise changing all the batteries straight away if your friend goes down that route as the ones they come with are cheaper than cheap and usualyy half dead.

My friend has bought the triggers as recommend and would like to to say a big thank you on his behalf.

I have the Portaflash system and tried a few different types of triggers and none were 100% successful, until I tried one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MiniMagic-TXR...ihZ017QQcategoryZ3860QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

I bought it through E-bay from this shop. You might have to e-mail the seller for details of the one suitable for Prolinca - I know he does them. Great guy to deal with. Can't remember his name, but excellent communication.

Mine is brilliant. If it ever failed (2 years old now), I would buy another the same.
