I discovered this morning that this image was the winner of the night sky category of the Nature TTL Photographer of the Year competition! I was especially pleased because it was also shortlisted for the Natural Landscape Photography Awards and yesterday I found out that it hadn't progressed further.

They are fabulous at dawn and dusk as well aren't they? We stayed in the lodge there so it was just a short walk for a night shoot
