Hi,
Over the weekend I set up a GoPro Hero 4 Black to capture some video of birds feeding at hanging bird feeder.
I have tried capturing stills using my 7Dii and sigma 150-600 C shooting into a dark shady area from at least 10 meters away with mixed results.
hand holding the sigma bazooka is a skill and my tripod is not heavy enough to take the DSLR and sigma 150-600 weight.
I was hoping to set up my 7Dii on the tripod a lot closer to the feeder and use my sigma 17-70 or EF70-300L IS USM lens for sharper images with wider f stops. Well certainly with the 17-70 C I can use wider f stop.
So my question is how can I remotely trigger my 7Dii from a distance say 8-10 meters.
Do I get several long male to female USB cables and connect the 7Dii to the Canon Connect software on a Laptop.
I do have a Trigger Trap kit I could use in a motion mode, though I will have no control over which motion / action shot I want to take !
Any ideas please ?
