Pushing it a bit to call this a macro because it’s just a phone snap. Rose sawfly larvae , (Arge pagana stephensii ?) on an Albertine rambler rose last July. The remains of the egg case are on the stem, top right so they seem only to have eaten 3 leaves so far. I don’t think they survived as I could only find one the next day and then none.
