Since selling my MPE and picking up macro again, I have no desire to buy it again as really not that interested in the super high macro bar getting record shots of bugs that 1x/2x is incapable of doing so.

However picking up my reversed 18-55mm which is broken and you can't change aperture anymore (think its stuck at f11 maybe f8) I have been having lots of fun and TBH I can't see much difference in optics over the MPE (maybe rose tinted) except at 4.8x magnification where it seems to be a little softer.

Nice set Bryn. I particularly like the spider - great clarity it has. DOF coverage excellent too. (The springtails are pretty good for DOF coverage too.)

Maybe right... didnt stop me moving to MPE though.
