Nice set and a good start Stan :)

Thanks, Dave. Looking forward to another 52 weeks of punishment fotos!

Hi Stan. Light is best in the shot you chose, but I think I actually prefer what's going on in the 3rd image.
Shame the light isn't better. Maybe one for another theme maybe?

Thanks, Tim. I just have to go back there when the light is better for another theme.

All three are great images but that low sun in your chosen shot really makes it work. Nice!

Love the light in #1 and the strip of sky leading to the centre of the image.

I just notice David @wornish also has the same idea! I took this about the same time as he post his.

Week 02 Hard (As Nails)
Hard As Nails by Stan, on Flickr

You may ask the reason why a rusty painted nail? My thoughts behind the oddity are;

a) to add interest and some colour to the boring subject
b) the juxtaposition of shiny and rusty
c) the hard-as-nails and the softer feminine painted (finger) nails. :ROFLMAO:

Yep - a bit different and I like it :)

The red nail does the picture a lot of favours with the contrast, not only of the red bit, but the different colour nail too.

Great image. Think it must be great minds think alike.
You put a lot more planning in than me. I wanted to use some really old nails but couldn't find any.

Thanks, David. Yes great minds indeed. :)

I found a few rusty ones among all the shiny nails. I thought an odd one would add some interest then I saw my wife doing her nails and that's where the painted tip idea came from.

I was wondering about the red and was gonna ask. My first thought was you wanted to make the viewer think of blood. Great work

A different take on the nail theme. As said, the red adds interest.

I really like that one Stan. Effort has gone into it which is clearly obvious from the photo. (y)
