weekly rpn's 52 Photo Challenge 2024 - Week 51 ENTERTAINING Added

Now you sat, I can see it’s the wing mirror. Great idea, seize the moment, and good to head outside comfort zone. I find these street shots challenging but will keep practicing as I like the results.

Thanks, Alan. I'm in the same boat as you regarding street photos. I once asked an older fisherman mending his net if it ok to take a photo of him while he carried on with his activity. I got a stern look and a firm NO! That was the start and the end of street, people photography for me.

Nice idea for tools. Reminds me of the work of Chema Madoz who is well worth checking out.

Asking is where you went wrong Stan. :)

I take a lot of photos of people on the street - and all candid.

Your out of car shot is an interesting one :)

Thanks, Bob. Some interesting images there and mostly monotone.

Cheers, Dave. Now I know where I've gone wrong and I thought I was being polite and respectful to ask first. Next time I just stick my biggest 200-500mm lens right next to their faces then ask the question after!  :ROFLMAO:

As the old pro that took me under his wing as a press togger many years ago told me. It's easier to apologise than to get permission :D

Some iPhone snapshots to catch up. I'm 3 weeks behind already and don't want to fall too far back. I was in the city centre yesterday and took the opportunity to use the phone camera to capture the last 3 themes, discreetly!

Is this an Entrance or an Exit? I suppose it depends on whether you are going in or coming out! But then again, it's an Exit from the street! ;)

Week 39 Exit

Friends is a great capture of the moment, as it’s got me wondering and imagining what they’re talking about.

Nicely caught up. Friends seems to be, "I think it's just over there," says the bloke. "It'd better be, I'm freezing", says the girl.

I like the treatment of the 'Friends' image.

Plus I always think it's a bonus when you're looking at the image and trying to work out what's happening within it.

"I think there's a shop up here, I can buy some trousers"

"I told you... NO SHORTS"

Sorry, catching up on a really atmospheric set of shots!

People has a real crime drama feel to it - I'm sure they're nice folk, it's just well framed!

Candid is very powerful and Friends is intriguing - the facial expressions make it, and they're so crisp in the foreground!

Good catch up. I particularly like the candid shot. Works well in mono.

Nice looking Lochan :)

Really like that, and well thought up for a non golfer ( I spent a lot of time in there when I played :headbang: )

As a golfer(ish), we’d call that easy rough at our club, ball sitting up, view of the flag, room for the club to swing through, bit of sunshine, lovely jubbly

Ancient certainly ticks the box, but Intricate - I love it! Beautiful detail, lovely black background. Really like it.

Thanks, Paul, a little leaf (no idea about the tree) I picked it up some years ago when I was doing the garden. I just like the details and thought it might be useful for my TP52's!

Ancient - I think I probably would have straightened a little. It looks like you were fairly square on, so it could benefit from a little rotation to level the towers.

Intricate is beautiful.

Cheers, Kell. I had the camera level and I think it was the wide-angle lens fisheye 'distortion'.
