Self noise on the zoom H8 for nature recording.

Hi there,
I have a question about the zoom h8.
I was just wondering is the self noise is quiet enough for nature recording? I have another field recorder which makes a fuzzy noise sound when I’m trying to record bird sounds. Would this be a decent option?

I'd go for the F series Zoom recorders if I were you. I've heard that the self noise is lower than the H series. I own the F6 and used to own the F4. Both amazing field recorders. If your budget can stretch go for the F series recorders.
