I'm plannng on going to silverstone next weekend for the blancpain endurance race.

I'll be going along with a nikon d60 and 50-300 lens.

I've done a bit of searching online and i'm planning on using these settings:

Cam mode- shutter priority start at 1/320 then work down
Focus point point - dynamic (although just as many people say single point)
A/F mode- continous AI servo
Drive mode- continous
Meter mode- matrix

do these sound ok?
also what is tv mode?

Yeah sounds good to me, if you do get the chance to get head on shots use a higher shutter speed say arround a 1/640 or you may even need higher, iso i would start of at 100 then increase if it is a dull day.

Would you suggest using manual mode then?
I was going to just select shutter priority and adjust the speed and let the camera sort out iso and aperture.

well i went, now have 1300 pictures to go thru.
A lot of them seem grainy, at times the camera was telling me it was too dark for chosen shutter speed so i'd go from 1/320 to 1/250 but have no idea what aperture or iso i was using.

On the whole i'm fairly happy have some shots in focus with the tyres moving so panning seemed to work.
Lastly i used the dynamic a/f might try the center point a/f next as i was very much a panicing machine gunner.
