I visited a local site for these on Tuesday evening, hoping to catch them as they settled to roost for the night. Once settled, they are reluctant to move, so I was able to set up my tripod and try some stacked shots.

These were by a stream fringed by trees and with abundant bracken, which gave an overall greenish cast to the light, and also made for rather nice perches and a pleasing background.
