Small Skipper

Nicely done Ryan :D I like the detail and colour in the creature and the subtle tones of the stem and the out of focus areas. Well done :D

Thanks again Alan! This is from a quite gusty and stormy day last week. It seemed counter productive with the wind but I found a lot of insects holding onto stuff for dear life which gave me the opportunity to grab some shots between gusts. The grey overcast sky made for some lovely diffused light too although I did have to jack up the ISO and do some noise reduction to compensate.

This is the same skipper on the same blade of grass about an hour later than the shot above...
