I have a Sony CMT-X3CD Bluetooth Hi-Fi System.

it has that thin bit of wire as an aerial. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get a mini telescopic as a replacement for this?
I really don’t want one of those loop aerials.

What it has,

There are certainly Sony replacement and copies. All those seem to be stiffer thick insulated wire..... .one picture shows that only one pin is used.

But no telescopic ones showing :thinking:

I did have a little search but I don’t ally know what I’m looking for. I couldn’t see any telescopic

Could you get something like this, and wire up an adapter between the Sony plug and the aerial with one of these?

I keep forgetting that whipping out the soldering iron/screwdriver isn't always an option.

@Skyline

This is the one I found that looks like a stiffer guage wire

Does that match the one the unit came with, as you spoke of a 'thin wire'?

As mentioned, it seems to connect to only one terminal on the plug.......do sight unseen, it should be possible to adapt it to use with the parts @Tori_T suggested.

But if you are wary of doing so, then looks like your only choice is to buy your official item linked above!

You could always take some photos of the stormtroopers assessing your communications reception problem?

That looks exact same as what I have. Even done to the little round thing at the other end.
It’s not so much wary, it’s more right arm is well out of action at the moment.

Perhaps the best option is to buy the "official" wire antenna and once you are back to fully dextrous adapt it as above???
